Heesen Yachts is delighted to announce that Project Frida, the latest in its acclaimed 55-metre Steel series, is available for purchase with delivery scheduled for February 2026. Launched at the shipyard in Oss on August 26, 2025, she is currently in the final outfitting phase. This presents a rare opportunity for a discerning client to acquire a brand-new, Dutch-built superyacht and have it prepared for an early 2026 season.

Project Frida represents an ideal proposition for an owner who wishes to purchase a turn-key yacht, guaranteeing a seamless and stress-free ownership experience from the very first day on board.

Building on the success of its lineage, Project Frida capitalises on the invaluable experience gained from its sister ship, M/Y Agnetha. The comprehensive data and results from Agnetha’s rigorous sea trials and shake-down cruise to Monaco have proven once again that Heesen 55m Steel class delivers robust and reliable yachts.

Project Frida is a masterpiece of design and engineering. Her distinctive ‘shark tooth’ superstructure, combined with floor-to-ceiling windows, creates a powerful presence on the water while flooding the interior with natural light. Her ultra-stable, fuel-efficient hull delivers exceptional fuel efficiency and comfort across the entire speed range, complemented by zero-speed and on-the-go stabilisers for unparalleled stability at anchor and sea.

Engineered for reliability and safety, Project Frida meets the highest commercial standards of the Large Yacht Code 3 (LY3). Her twin Rolls-Royce MTU 8V diesel engines (1,000 kW each) provide a top speed of 15.5 knots, while her impressive transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots truly makes her a ‘go-anywhere’ bluewater yacht. Furthermore, she is equipped with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, ensuring full compliance with the stringent IMO Tier III emission regulations.

The yacht’s generous 760 GT interior volume has been masterfully designed as a modern ode to the golden age of ocean travel. The design harmonises expansive, light-filled spaces with the rich, warm tones of natural wengé wood, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The full-beam owner’s apartment is a private sanctuary, complete with a study, a luxurious bathroom featuring Calcite Blue stone, and a private veranda allowing the owners to enjoy privacy outdoors. Four spacious guest suites are located on the lower deck, with a versatile fifth cabin on the bridge deck.

A key element that elevates Project Frida’s interior is the exceptional work of Heesen Yachts Interiors. Based in Winterswijk, this dedicated, in-house luxury furniture workshop specialises in crafting the finest bespoke cabinetry to the most exacting standards. This unique proposition is a cornerstone of the Heesen promise, ensuring an unparalleled level of meticulous craftsmanship. The ability to create such exquisite joinery in-house makes Frida not just a yacht of exceptional design, but a true showcase of peerless Dutch artisanship.

Life on board is curated for ultimate relaxation and entertainment. The expansive sundeck features a large whirlpool, a fully equipped bar, and multiple lounging areas. The sky lounge seamlessly connects to an aft terrace for al fresco dining, while the beach club provides direct access to the water from the large swim platform, perfect for launching water toys or enjoying an afternoon by the sea.

Jeroen van der Meer, Heesen’s CEO, comments: “Project Frida is a unique offering in today’s market. She is the only 55-metre steel yacht from a Northern European shipyard available for such a swift delivery. The opportunity for an owner to step in now, personalise the final details with Luca Dini’s team, and be cruising the Mediterranean next summer is exceptional. The technical advancements and proven performance from her sister ship, Agnetha, provide an incredible advantage, ensuring a yacht that is not only beautiful but also technically perfected.”

Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture adds: “Frida’s interior is designed for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and a connection to the sea. It’s a modern interpretation of classic yachting luxury. We are incredibly excited to work with the future owner to select the final decorative touches that will bring their personal vision to life, creating a truly bespoke and inviting home on the water.”

Project Frida is the definitive choice for those who value superlative Dutch quality, refined design, and the priceless advantage of a short delivery time.
