Beautiful brokerage Heesen 50-metre semi-displacement My Loyalty meets new owners!

YN 17650, Project Akoya, began as a project on speculation with interior design by Cristiano Gatto. The original owners stepped in one year before the launch and entrusted renowned Dutch designer Marcel Westerink to complete the interior décor of their project. Launched in April 2016, Project Akoya was christened My Loyalty.

According to Superyacht Times, in January 2024, six yachts over 40 metres have been sold on the brokerage market. The Heesen 50-metre My Loyalty is the first deal of the year signed by Hans van Doornmalen of Edmiston, who represented the seller. Hans previously sold the first Heesen 50-metre YN 15250, originally named Satori. Hans commented: “Heesen’s 50-metre semi-displacement series is an excellent yacht suitable for private and charter use. My Loyalty was officially put on the market in June 2023 and sold just 233 days later. During the Monaco Yacht Show, she was one of the highlights of the brokerage section. In addition to her Dutch pedigree, this yacht is unique because she has remained with the original owner since day one, and she was only used privately. Unlike many other yachts, her crew stayed on for more than five years. The build engineer looked after her from construction until today and will continue working with the new owners. This detail is essential as it ensures the yacht is perfectly maintained.”

James Pool and Ben Bartlett from Y.CO introduce the buyer. James said: “My Loyalty is the first Heesen yacht that my colleague Ben and I sold. We are proud to have secured an exceptional yacht of Dutch pedigree for one of our esteemed clients. We are also pleased to announce that My Loyalty will join the Y.CO charter fleet. This yacht is a remarkable addition to our charter portfolio, and we are confident she will provide many delightful days of cruising.”

With her distinctive streamlined superstructure designed by Omega Architects, My Loyalty’s exterior lines combine sleek minimalism with advanced technology. The shark-grey hull lends the yacht a bold stance on the water. Maintaining the Heesen family look and feel with its iconic reverse sheer ‘pelican beak’ bow, continuous sheets of laminated triple glazing thermo-bonded to the superstructure on the main deck create a dynamic wall of seamless windows that complement the yacht’s flowing lines.

Two MTU 16V 4000 M73L diesel engines allow My Loyalty’s well-engineered and superbly crafted aluminium hard chine hull to reach a top speed of 23 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,100 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Four clearly defined deck levels provide space for every occasion, including a foredeck for secluded relaxation and a vast 70 sqm sun deck that is impressive in style and proportion. Shaded dining is on the upper deck aft terrace, while the multifunctional main deck aft combines with the salon to create a generous 25 sqm of entertaining space.

Space has been optimised throughout: My Loyalty boasts the highest possible interior volume under the 500GT threshold. Twelve guests sleep in six staterooms. The master suite is traditionally set forward on the main deck. Additional cabins are all on the lower deck, including a full-beam VIP with a huge en suite bathroom and two double and twin cabins.
