Heesen Yachts Shines as the World Superyacht Awards Return to Venice for their 20th Anniversary

The global superyacht elite are once again converging upon Venice’s breathtaking canals, gathering at the historic Arsenale di Venezia to celebrate this prestigious event. Widely recognised as the “Oscars of the yachting industry,” this prestigious event honours the finest achievements in superyacht design and construction against the backdrop of centuries-old maritime history.

What distinguishes the BOAT International World Superyacht Awards apart from every other boating awards event is the unique composition of its judging panel. This esteemed group is exclusively made up of current or former yacht owners, bringing with them, collectively, hundreds of years of unparalleled experience owning, running, and managing superyachts. These are not just yacht owners, but knowledgeable, serial owners who have taken a keen personal interest in the design and build of their own vessels. Their deep understanding and hands-on involvement drive the judging process, lending an unmatched level of authority and insight to the awards. We owe them an enormous debt for their enthusiasm and generosity in dedicating their time and expertise.

Heesen Yachts arrives in Venice with three exceptional nominations each highlighting the Dutch shipyard’s unwavering commitment to innovation, quality, and stunning aesthetics across different platforms. Securing a nomination at the World Superyacht Awards is a significant achievement in itself, a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship involved in bringing these magnificent vessels to life.

Leading Heesen’s nomination is ALP, a striking 50-metre semi-displacement yacht. Her sleek and sporty exterior lines, penned by the renowned Omega Architects, perfectly complement the sophisticated and luxurious interior spaces created by Cristiano Gatto Design. ALP represents the pinnacle of performance and elegance in her class, promising exhilarating cruising without compromising on comfort or style.

Also nominated is Cinderella Noel IV, a superb 50-metre steel displacement yacht. Her robust and elegant exterior design is the work of the talented Clifford Denn, while the serene and beautifully appointed interiors were conceived by Luca Dini Design and Architecture. Cinderella Noel IV exemplifies Heesen’s mastery in building full-displacement yachts, offering exceptional range, stability, and comfort for extended voyages.

Completing Heesen’s impressive trio of nominations is the groundbreaking Santosha. This 57-metre FDHF (Fast Displacement Hull Form) yacht is built entirely from aluminium, a testament to Heesen’s innovative engineering capabilities. At 780 GT, she sports a shallow draft of just 2.3m, making her ideal for cruising in the clear, shallower waters found in destinations like the Bahamas. Featuring an exterior design by the ever-brilliant Omega Architects and a sophisticated interior by Harrison Eidsgaard, Santosha has already garnered critical acclaim this year, having won an award at the Design and Innovation Awards held in Kitzbühel. Her nomination at the World Superyacht Awards further solidifies her position as a leader in innovative yacht design and performance.

The anticipation builds throughout the evening, culminating in the reveal of the coveted Neptune trophies, symbols of excellence in the superyacht world, judged by those who truly understand what makes a great yacht.

For Heesen Yachts, having three nominations at the 20th World Superyacht Awards in Venice is a great honour, affirming the shipyard’s vision and the exceptional talent of its collaborators. Regardless of the outcome, the presence of ALP, Cinderella Noel IV, and Santosha among the world’s elite yachts is a moment of immense pride, highlighting Heesen’s continued leadership in the superyacht industry.
