YN21055 Project Frida - 2026
Delivery: Q1 2026FDHF
Uncompromising Capability, Unrivalled Access
Frida is the latest iteration in our 55-metre Steel series, engineered and built as a true blue-water, go-anywhere yacht. Her powerful, purposeful lines create a silhouette of commanding presence, suggesting strength and stability. Vast, floor-to-ceiling windows run the length of the main and upper decks, dissolving the boundary between the luxurious interior and the ever-changing seascape outside. The owner's suite features a private terrace, offering a secluded sanctuary to experience the world's most stunning views.
She combines proven transatlantic capability with the grace and dimensions to access the most intimate and desirable harbours worldwide.
First impressions
Frida represents the continued evolution of our highly successful 55-metre Steel platform. She is the result of years of refinement, offering a proven, reliable foundation that has been tested and honed to perfection. This is a yacht built not for surprises, but for strength, capability, and unwavering performance at sea.
The secret to her exceptional performance and low fuel consumption lies below the waterline. We believe that reducing environmental impact begins with superior hydrodynamics. Frida's remarkable efficiency is thanks to the unique and patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), devised by Van Oossanen and perfected by our in-house team of engineers. This advanced 'slippery' hull is the key to her class-leading performance.
In combination with her two compact MTU 4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) engines, Frida reaches a top speed of 15.5 knots. The result is a yacht that is not only efficient but also exceptionally comfortable, ensuring safe and smooth passage in all sea conditions.
Step aboard
Frida welcomes twelve guests in six staterooms, featuring the vast 86-square-metre owners' quarters on the main deck forward, four guest cabins on the lower deck, and a VIP suite on the bridge deck. This versatile layout makes our 55-metre Steel class ideal for both private family use and charter.
Her interior, by Luca Dini Design and Architecture, celebrates the romance of classic yachting, revisited with a contemporary perspective. The palette features the traditional contrast of a light background complemented by rich marine mahogany and woods with a deep patina. This is paired with striped textiles in bold colours that recall the J-class era. High-quality furnishings pair traditional forms with generous, comfortable seating ideal for long voyages. This focus on deep comfort extends seamlessly to the exterior decks, creating outdoor spaces as welcoming as the interior.
