Project Evita Reaches a Significant Construction Milestone as Hull and Superstructure Are Joined
Heesen Yachts has announced that YN Project Evita, a 56.7-metre motor yacht, has reached a major technical milestone with the successful joining of its hull and superstructure. As the largest vessel ever built on speculation by the shipyard, the project now moves into the outfitting phase.
Project Highlights:
- Bahamas Ready: At 57m with a 780 GT internal volume and a 2.3-metre draught, Project Evita is the largest yacht capable of accessing shallow-water destinations like the Bahamas.
- Performance: Featuring an all-aluminium Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), Project Evita can reach a top speed of 21 knots and has a transatlantic range of 3,900 NM at 13 knots.
- Master Stateroom: Spans 60 square metres of private space on the main deck forward.
- Glass Elevator: A central glass elevator serves three decks, enhancing guest comfort and accessibility.
- Infinity Pool: A six square-metre infinity pool on the main deck aft provides a direct connection to the water.
- Lower emissions: Compliant with IMO Tier III standards, enabling access to the best cruising grounds.
- Delivery: Scheduled for Q3 2027.
The joining of Project Evita’s hull and superstructure represents a significant construction milestone, as the official point where the vessel’s final classification rules are implemented. For a prospective owner, this stage offers the opportunity to personalise the vessel before delivery.
The interior layout provides a versatile foundation for customisation. With an internal volume of 780 GT and nearly 400 square metres of interior space, the layout prioritises both privacy and social connection. A key feature is the central glass elevator, which provides access across three decks, making Project Evita ideal for multi-generational families. The owner’s stateroom stretches the full 9.5-metre beam, while five additional guest cabins accommodate a further ten guests.
While Harrison Eidsgaard has designed the interior layout, the interior stylings are crafted by Heesen Yachts Interiors, the shipyard’s in-house workshop, where traditional Dutch cabinetry meets advanced technology to produce furniture to the highest standards.
Project Evita features an exterior design by Omega Architects, notable for its distinctive scallop-shaped transom. A structural departure from her award-winning sistership, Santosha, is the redesigned aft ship, which replaces the traditional beach club with an infinity pool on the main deck aft. The exterior decks are expansive, with the sundeck alone divided into three zones: aft sun loungers, a central dining and bar area under the hardtop, and a forward lounge.
Combining the efficiency of a lightweight aluminium hull with impressive volumes, Project Evita remains a unique proposition in the 50-metre-plus market. Following this structural milestone, the shipyard’s focus shifts to installing technical systems and bespoke interior outfitting.
